Contact a JEI representative and request a JEI Self-Learning Centers franchise application. Fill this out and submit it, along with a resume.
Arrange a meeting time with the Franchise Manager and/or related staff to discuss franchise opportunities. During this meeting, you will be given the Uniform Franchise Offering Circular (UFOC), which contains all of the pertinent legal and descriptive elements of the contract. You will also be taking a Math and English Test.
Review the UFOC over the period of (10) ten business days. Take into consideration the various factors involved in establishing your own business before deciding to continue.
Review your financial situation and begin contacting financial lending institutions to find the one that is best suited for you.
Determine the desired location for your Learning Center. Try to be flexible with this, since the process of site selection and lease negotiation will begin after the franchise agreement has been executed. Make a list of 4 ? 5 cities or possible locations. Rank these in order of your preference.
Review and sign the franchise agreement. You will be required to pay the Franchise Fee, after which, you must attend and complete the New Franchisee Training Workshop (NFTW).
Participate in the NFTW. This will last approximately (5) five days, and will cover all of the topics you will need in order to get your Learning Center up and running. Once you have successfully passed the training program and received certification, you may begin with your site selection.
Choose a location for your business. We will offer support in helping you choose the area for your Learning Center. Once you have signed a lease, we will help you develop a 20-week plan leading to the Grand Opening.
Begin advertising for your business. Marketing staff at the Headquarters Office will work with you to develop a marketing strategy to increase the consumer awareness for your Learning Center.
Open your doors for the Grand Opening event. Congratulations! You are now a member of the JEI Self-Learning Centers team, and you can begin operating your business.
